MG cars to become costlier from April 1: Here’s why & by how much

JSW MG Motor India has announced a price revision across its model range, with cars set to become costlier from April 1, 2026. The company confirmed that prices will be increased by up to 2% on select models as it looks to manage rising input costs.According to an official statement, the decision has been taken to partially offset the impact of continuous cost pressures faced by the automaker. Like several other carmakers in India, MG has been dealing with higher expenses related to raw materials, logistics and overall production. The price hike will apply to the brand’s mainline portfolio, which includes both ICE vehicles and electric cars. However, MG has clarified that its premium EV offerings, sold through the MG Select channel, will not be affected by this revision. This means models like the MG M9 and the Cyberster will continue to be priced as before.
